Theme: My Life Belongs to the LORD
Text: Deuteronomy 32:39 - Rev. Mark C. Wagner
Location (Internet) of text: http://bib.ly/Dt32
Intro: The Death with Dignity movement revolves more around choice and control than it does death and dying with dignity. Let's look...
1. In a First Commandment Way
- God is in control of all life.
- God chooses quality at the end of life.
- God's timing is as perfect with us as it was with His Son.
- God's healing recovers the honor and respect assigned to our life.
Conclusion: We acknowledge the actual, current value of life afforded by faith in Christ.

Thy Word
by Amy Grant and Michael Whitaker Smith
©1984
Warner/Chappell Music, Inc.
Based on Psalm 119:105
Chorus
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path X2
When I feel afraid and think I've lost my way
Still, You're there right beside me
Nothing will I fear as long as You are near
Please be near me to the end
Thy word...
I will not forget Your love for me and yet
My heart forever is wandering
Jesus by my guide and hold me to Your side
And I will love You to the end
Thy word...

Why All the Fuss about this King? Intro: Why do we work so hard to keep Christ in Christmas? The Magi caused quite a fuss when they arrived in Jerusalem. Here's another look at how His leadership comes to light. 1 Kings 10:1-9 - Rev. Mark C. Wagner
- God demonstrates His wisdom through His King. 1.1 His discernment was a gift from God.
- God expresses the balance of truth through His king. 2.1 The fear of the Lord is just the beginning of this wisdom.
1.2 His fame and power attended His faithfulness to God.
App: Just a brief overview of our lives can show how God's wisdom attracts attention. The big events are baptism, confirmation, marriage and funerals. That's one time for sure that people will, like the Queen of Sheba, be evaluating how our faith works.
2.2 The queen wanted to hear how his religion integrated into his rule.
2.3 She began to understand how God's love maintains justice and righteousness.
App: The deeper grasp comes to those who linger and listen to God's Word along with us. Notice how she didn't heap praise on Solomon, but rather on Solomon's LORD God and His eternal love for Israel.

1-O Light of Gentile nations, O Savior from above,
drawn by your Spirit's leading, we come with joy and love
into your holy temple and wait with reverent mind
as Simeon once had waited, His God and Lord to find.
